For the past few years my interest in product design has really waned as more and more is created and is so over-designed that it hurts my eyes. Okay, okay I exaggerate, but I have certainly got ‘design’ fatigue.
So when London-based product design and manufacturing company Uniform Wares released their first set of watches I was a little taken back by the simplicity. It is still far to colourful for the likes of Prof Rams, but has a charm that I find hard to ignore.
The collection has been produced in a limited quantity, each watch having a unique batch number. They are sold through the Uniform Wares website, with prices from £85.

Uniform Wares was established by designers Patrick Bek and Oliver Fowles.
Their backgrounds are in product, furniture design and manufacturing. Bek and Fowles share an appreciation for design detailing and quality manufacture in everyday objects and aim to apply this meticulous approach to their Uniform Wares collections.
