Born in Austria in 1977, Florian Pucher is famous for his LandCarpet which won the ‘Elle Decoration International Design Award’ for best floorcovering in 2009.
The LandCarpet is a ‘modern area rug, inspired by nature and farmed landscapes. It shows the world from straight above,as we usually see it only out of the window of a plane’ says Pucher.

Based on satellite images the stylised fields appear as a mini landscape. I absolutely love these – it reminds me of those rugs from when I was a child and playing with animals or cars. This would bring a part of that childhood back whilst I sit watching ‘The only way is Essex‘.

Available in four different versions and made of 100% New Zealand wool, LandCarpet is produced in China by experienced carpet and rug manufacturers.
