David Weatherhead at London Design Festival

One thing really stood out to me during the London Design Festival. It was the work of David Weatherhead in a small exhibition of recently graduated students.

David’s interest is in the everyday and the design of objects with a particular gesture and semantic. A graduate of the MA Design Products course at the Royal College of Art 2007 and the BA Product and Furniture Design course at Ravensbourne 2004.

David is a designer and creative strategist at a design studio in London. He is actively involved in self initiated projects, commissions and consultancy. He has created designs for Arco, GOODD, Seletti s.p.a., Lago s.p.a. and Studioilse.

Standard stationery
The most memorable work during the exhibition was the standard stationery…a family of brightly-coloured stationery items “celebrate task, standard paper size, drafting and colour theory”.

C6 Euro Letter Rack
David was also exhibiting his letter rack, which was produced at a different time and is now sold through GOODD. I have seen a similar item before, so this was nothing particular new to me, but the collection as a whole was so simple allowing the colours to do all of the work. The letter rack takes its cue from the C6 envelope. Now available in European postal service colours, green, red, yellow, blue. Exclusively available from Goodd
