Haystakt presents ‘4 Makers’ at 100% Design Singapore

If you haven’t discovered Haystakt yet then you are in for a real treat. I almost don’t want to tell anyone because I want it to be my little secret and where I get all of my cool ideas from. I guess it wouldn’t take long for the cat to be out of the bag though so here I am sharing.

Haystakt is The Makers’ Marketplace…a global online platform designed to connect makers and people. “Is it like Etsy” I hear you say, well yes in a way, it is, but with curators deciding what gets featured rather than a completely open network.

Get to know your makers. Forge relationships by conversing with makers, curators, and other people outside the market. After all, not every transaction has to be mercenary. Haystakt tells of the story and history behind each product and maker publishes a Makers’ Journal…an online magazine about Making in Asia, with a focus on people, product, and process.

Curators give input on who can sell, or create collections of meaning by organising their favorite items into customisable wishlists (called Stakts). Each week, the site shares with the community the Stakts they love.
