Skip Dolphin Hursh Let’s face it, if I say ‘gif’ to you, I bet you are thinking of some low-quality, grainy image but Skip Dolphin Hursh (his middle name is Dolphin) has created some really fascinating gifs that make you stare for ages watching every part move. His work reminds me of Peter Grundy, a graphic designer known for his creative work for large corporate brands. There is a similar language running through the work of these two designers. Skip is a Designer, Illustrator, Animator, Artist, and Thing-Maker from the midwestern USA, currently based in Brooklyn, NY. His work ties a thread of playful abstraction and vibrant colours and unsurprisingly he works as an On-Air Designer & Animator for Nickelodeon, as well as having worked for a variety of other clients. He is also a contributor to one of my favourite art and design blogs, The Fox is Black. Daniel Having worked in design for the past decade, Daniel started ateliertally.com as a discussion of timeless, modernist product design. Trained as a graphic designer, he also has an avid interest in typography. You can follow him on Twitter @ateliertally.
